Datvest Unit Trusts are managed by Datvest Unit Trust Managers (Private) Limited, which has significant experience in the analysis of the Zimbabwe stock market and economy as a whole. Datvest Unit Trust Managers (Private) Limited is a division of CBZ Asset Management Private Limited T/A Datvest Asset Management. Datvest Unit Trust Managers have a large base of unit trust clients and are active on the local stock market and money market. Datvest Unit Trusts’ operations are regulated by the Collective Investment Schemes Act and bound by a Notarial Deed of Trust, with Stanbic Bank of Zimbabwe Limited as the Trustee. 

BACKGROUND ON UNIT TRUSTS?
Unit Trusts (or mutual funds) have become very popular investment vehicles in Zimbabwe. Unit trusts are collective investment schemes which involve the pooling of funds on behalf of a large number of investors, with each investor buying a certain number of units in the total fund (at the unit price ruling at the time of investment), representing their proportional investment. The capital pool is invested in carefully selected shares listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange as well as money market instruments. The income or capital appreciation from these investments accrues to each investor in proportion to the amount you invested. The funds are professionally managed to achieve maximum returns consistent with the stated investment objectives of the fund.
